Personal Tax Senior Manager / Manager
Location: Cheltenham
Salary Indicator: £40,000 - £52,000
This is a
brilliant opportunity to join a dedicated Team of 23 people advising
Legal practices.
Our client is looking to add additional depth of
experience in taxation to ensure that further growth can be achieved,
without compromising client service standards. Their Legal practice
clients consist of partnerships, LLPs, and Limited companies. The work
will be extremely varied, and will include a considerable amount of
strategic advice, report writing, and one off tax planning work. The
role offers the potential for significant development, and also the
opportunity to develop a client portfolio, with possible (and desired)
partner progression.
Responsibilities:
Supervision of a Team
of 3 other senior Tax staff in their Legal Team, and also 2 more junior
Tax Team members
Smooth and consistent delivery of tax compliance
and planning services to our clients by the whole Team.
Ability to
carry out planning and project type work. Once you are familiar with
their clients, and the sector, they would expect you to work towards
being able to complete these projects without need for significant
amounts of partner review.
Some tax file reviews, particularly for
larger clients, to ensure that our service to them is both complete, and
continually different, out of the box, and more joined up than that
offered by other accountancy practices.
Business development work,
including the writing of articles for inclusion in our in-house
newsletter, Legal Focus, Press Releases, etc, presentations to potential
clients, and so on.
Active involvement in the development and growth
of the Legal Team, including participation in tender presentations,
seminars, other professional development activities, etc. You will be
one of the more visible members, becoming one of the main points of
contact for clients, contacts, potential clients
Skills:
ACA/ACCA
qualified with proven experience of professional practices and both
accounts and taxation.
CTA desirable, otherwise a strong tax
knowledge/experience generally
Business Development and Client
Management skills.
Well developed management skills e.g. coaching,
motivation and organisation.
Personal Effectiveness (i.e. influence,
managing change, resilience, initiative, adaptability, energy,
integrity, analysing and solving problems, team work, communication -
written and oral). |
