Valiant Petroleum plc is an independent oil & gas company with a primary focus on exploration and production within the UK Continental Shelf. The Company was formed in 2004, and listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2008.

Valiant’s strategy is concentrated on building a diverse and balanced portfolio of assets within its targeted core areas of the Northern North Sea, West of Shetland and the Central North Sea. Shareholder value will be delivered through organic growth in reserves and production over time, through the drill bit. In order to achieve this goal, the Company seeks to participate in a number of short-to-medium term developments as well as a continuous exploration programme targeting a range of risk and reward.

We operate much of our exploration assets and are progressively moving towards being a production operator. Whilst undoubtedly a mature area, we see significant production and exploration opportunities in the North Sea for well capitalized and resourced companies. Valiant achieved first production from the West Don field in April 2009, followed by first production from the nearby Don Southwest field in August 2009. The Company has a number of production and exploration opportunities to pursue over the next few years.
